For those familiar with Dewey Bruton and the "Daniel's Timeline DVD", you may be interested in knowing he has a new DVD coming out shortly.

The new DVD is "The Exile Calendar Vs. A Crescent Moon Calendar"

I watched it yesterday and it answered the questions I had about the Karaite Calendar, which is what Michael Rood supports.

If you are interested in knowing the difference in the two calendars, and which one is correct, I highly recommend this teaching!

If you have not yet seen the Daniel's timeline DVD, I would recommend viewing that as well. You can order the DVD on his website, or you can watch it on Youtube

Can someone write about it if they have the DVD? I never heard of the Karaite Calendar and I'm betting many others haven't heard of it either. Is it even scriptural?

You can learn more about the Karaite's here:
    http://www.karaite-korner.org/

Basically, they believe that you can not declare the month of Nissan has arrived until the barley is ripe (Abib or Aviv in Hebrew)

If the barley is not ripe in time, you have to add a "leap month" to that year. So now you have another 30 days, which would give the barley time to ripen.

Yes there is OT scripture to back this belief, but there is also scripture indicating that it is the old way of reckoning time that has been done away with.

Would this effect our Pentecost rapture thing at all?

    Harpazo,
I think there is evidence of a Pentecost rapture. You can see that in a couple of my other posts.
    However, Pentecost 2009 is past.

Would the Calendar effect the Pentecost rapture thing?

Dewey Bruton agrees that the current Hebrew Calendar is correct, so this particular DVD would not effect the timing.

The Karaite Calendar can be off 1 to 3 days, and if they add a leap month, it could be off by an entire month. So that calendar would definitely effect dates.

So do you know if they added a leap month this year? Still hoping;)
